Prospering Fruits Community Development Corporation (DBA - Prospering Fruits CDC) is a tax- exempt not-for-profit that operates as an emergency food pantry currently servicing Seminole County, Florida. The food program operates through our signature program known as The Festival of Plates. The goal of this program is to reduce hunger in Central Florida by collecting and packaging food for distribution through a network of service agencies, religious organizations, and programs that serve our target population groups. Our Festival of Plates program provides a food box program, an emergency food distribution program, and a congregate meal service.

It is estimated that the number of families who need services from Prospering Fruits will increase during the next two to four years. As a major tourist destination, Seminole County is growing, and a number of new families are entering the area to look for employment. However, the impact of the pandemic has dealt a blow to the area and low-income families are suffering. Several programs throughout the county exist to help these families, but there are many that still are not getting enough food to eat. Prospering Fruits serves as a valuable resource to these families because we respond in a targeted way that allows us to engage directly with the individuals and the families in need to provide food.

Our food resources increase the ability of families to care for themselves and achieve self- sufficiency. Prospering Fruits' Festival of Plates program is an investment in addressing hunger in the county.
